This calculator provides a simplified estimate of 2025 or 2026 federal income tax using inflation-adjusted figures under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act and is for informational purposes only. It does not cover every credit, deduction, phase-out, or state tax and does not constitute tax advice. HSA limits assume full-year eligibility for the selected coverage. The 2026 itemized-deduction calculation estimates the charitable floor and top-bracket limitation from the amounts entered. The QBI calculation uses the simplified Form 8995 method; the 2026 $400 minimum is applied only to qualifying Schedule C income, and wage/UBIA and specified-service limitations are not modeled. The AMT estimate follows Form 6251 using the entries provided, automatically adds back the standard deduction and enhanced senior deduction, and assumes regular-tax and AMT capital-gain and foreign-tax-credit amounts are the same; Form 2555, kiddie tax, REMIC, 28% rate gain, unrecaptured section 1250 gain, and AMT carryovers are not modeled. The 2026 AMT calculation uses the IRS inflation adjustments and May 2026 draft Form 6251 available when this estimator was prepared; final 2026 forms may change. Schedule 1-A entries must otherwise qualify under IRS rules. Taxable Social Security includes the tax-exempt interest entered and assumes no lump-sum election; for MFS, it assumes the taxpayer lived with their spouse. Child/dependent care assumes both spouses have sufficient earned income. Education credits use a simplified AOTC calculation. EIC assumes all age, residency, relationship, and SSN tests are met. Foreign tax credit is applied without the Form 1116 limitation. Calculations and estimate downloads run locally in your browser. If you affirmatively opt in to product news, your email address and consent record are transmitted to WP TieOut; the tax estimate itself is not transmitted.
